This chapter is exclusive to the 1st edition, and its full title in that edition is: "CHAP II.

"The INTRODUCTION"
The paragraph first paragraph from the top of pg. 43 the 1st ed. seen here, is found in the 2nd -
4th eds. at the bottom of pg. 26 and continues on to page 27.
Within this paragraph in the 2nd - 4th eds. lines 34 on pg. 26 to line 8 on page 27 parts sentences
and words have been rearranged and moved.
Lines 9 - 21, on page 27 of the 2nd -4th eds. are completely new material.
The text from the 2nd and 3rd paragraphs of pg. 43 from the 1st ed. beginning in the middle of line
27, is then reproduced word for word in the 2nd – 4th eds. beginning on toward to end of line 25 of page 27.
The reproduction of the text from pg. 43 to the end of pg.45 of the 1st ed., is seen on pg. 27 to
the end of pg. 29. At the beginning of pg. 30 in the 2nd- 4th ed. one finds that the 1st paragraph from pg. 46 has been deleted.
The text from the 2nd paragraph in the 1st ed. is then reproduced in the 1st paragraph at the top
of pg. 30. And again the text from pg. 46 to the end of the first paragraph on pg. 51 of the 1st ed.,
is reproduced on pg. 30 to the beginning of the last paragraph on pg. 34 of the 2nd - 4th eds. At
this point in the latter 3 eds. 2 paragraphs have been added, which span from that point on pg. 34 to line 35 of pg. 35
of these editions.
Once again the text from the 2nd paragraph of pg. 51 of the 1st. ed. is then reproduced beginning
on line 36 of the 2nd - 4th eds., however this paragraph of 38 lines from the 1st. ed. is cut down to just 7 lines in the
2nd - 4th eds.
The text from the 2nd paragraph on pg. 52 to line 37 on pg. 53 of the 1st ed. is reproduced on pg.
36 to the end of the 1st paragraph on pg. 38 of the 2nd - 4th eds. Finally, the last 6 lines of this chapter on pgs. 53-54
in the 1st ed.
